Party, successful. Wee Sprouts, fun (Chet got to pet a bunny and see construction. It was so exciting, he fell asleep on the ride home from Bayside). The Mini needs work, check-up scheduled for tomorrow. Dad's cancer cell count keeps going down.

Sola, 3 bad teeth, maybe an infected jaw (alternative = cancer), so that is not so good. She's not even eating her bonito snacks.

Not reading. Barely crocheting. Facebook is a time suck. Daydreaming works well, too. Not that I have tons of time anyway, with my active, inquisitive, happy child.

And we start the Wee Sprouts program this week, too, plus dance class, a haircut for me, a trip to Westchester, 2 doctor's appointments (flu shot), and seeing the folks...this is a busy week!

So, I have been listening to The Go! Team and some other music that is not as...peppy, like Yo La Tengo's And Then Nothing Turned Itself Inside-Out. Keeps the energy up, at least for me; the GoldenSnitch keeps being unhappy for some electrical problem and dying. Carrying around the battery charger is good, but it seems like it should be something they could fix. Next trip to the mechanics should be next week.

Other than the cyclone of events this week, nothing much else is going on. Mild, mild me.

Boxing Day, Late in the Day

Christmas went well. We had a Venetian Feast; everthing was tasty. Presents were exchanged. Things went smoothly, everyone commented on how laid back the party seemed. Maybe because I was in a bit of a stupor. Running a little fierce lately for a variety of reasons: dad, holidays, planning stuff, identity stuff.

Luckily, my camera (Nikon FE) is working again, it is like I have restored feeling in a limb or something, like part of me was unable to be used and now is working. Recent pictures have been satisfyingly layered, as evidenced in the ice storm pictures. And my crochet hook is always hot and my stash large. And I have a pile of books to read and some, like The Graceling by Kristin Cashore, are really excellent instead of good. Like, so good I text-ed my ex-page, who is now in college to tell her to read it.

So even though I am scattered, I have ways of meditating, in my own style.

vroom, indeed.
